Contenido completo: La prohibición vigente en España sobre la construcción y la simple posesión de lanchas de alta velocidad, comúnmente conocidas como narcolanchas, ha llevado a que su fabricación se desplace al país vecino, Portugal. Considerando que Galicia es la región donde tradicionalmente se fabrican los cascos, es en el norte de Portugal donde se ensamblan y finalmente se lanzan al mar, o se transportan en camiones a otros lugares. Sin embargo, Portugal también ha implementado regulaciones y restricciones sobre su uso.

A pesar de esto, los narcotraficantes continúan intentando obtener beneficios mediante la construcción de estas embarcaciones en el noroeste español, y lo ocurrido este martes al sur de Pontevedra es un claro ejemplo de ello.

En este sentido, un camión TIR junto a un semirremolque que contenía una embarcación de alta velocidad en su interior, con un valor estimado superior a 400.000 euros y características comúnmente asociadas a operaciones logísticas de redes de narcotráfico, fueron incautados mientras se encontraban parcialmente sumergidos en el agua, en la rampa de acceso al río Miño, en Lanhelas, en el municipio de Caminha. Este punto representa la frontera física entre España y Portugal a través de Galicia.

El descubrimiento, realizado por la Autoridade Marítima Nacional, tuvo lugar tras recibir una alerta a las 8:30 horas sobre «la presencia de un vehículo que estaba causando infracciones ambientales al encontrarse dentro de un semirremolque parcialmente sumergido», según informa la mencionada Policía Marítima.

En ese momento, se activó de inmediato a los efectivos del Comando de la Policía Marítima Local de Caminha, así como la Unidad Regional de Investigación Criminal (URIC) de la Policía Marítima y el Servicio de Recopilación de Pruebas e Identificación Judicial. También se movilizaron efectivos de la Guardia Nacional Republicana (GNR), la Policía Judicial y los Bomberos Voluntarios de Caminha.

Al llegar al lugar, se verificó que el camión, de matrícula española, estaba parcialmente sumergido en el agua. La Policía Marítima se encuentra trabajando en el sitio para preservar las pruebas y proceder a la retirada del vehículo utilizando una grúa.

El Comando de la Policía Marítima Local de Caminha está a cargo de la gestión del incidente. Todo parece indicar que los narcotraficantes cometieron un error de cálculo al intentar botar la embarcación en la rampa mencionada que da acceso al río Miño, probablemente relacionado con las mareas. Como resultado, perdieron una lancha equipada con tres motores de alta potencia y diseñada específicamente para el propósito para el cual fue construida: el tráfico de estupefacientes.

Full content: The current prohibition in Spain on the construction and mere possession of high-speed boats, commonly known as narcolanchas, has led to their manufacturing being displaced to the neighboring country, Portugal. Considering that Galicia is the region where hulls are traditionally made, it is in northern Portugal where they are assembled and finally launched into the sea, or transported by truck to other locations. However, Portugal has also implemented regulations and restrictions on their use.

Despite this, drug traffickers continue to attempt to gain profits by constructing these vessels in northwestern Spain, and what occurred this Tuesday south of Pontevedra is a clear example of this.

In this regard, a TIR truck along with a semi-trailer containing a high-speed vessel inside, with an estimated value exceeding 400,000 euros and characteristics commonly associated with logistical operations of drug trafficking networks, were seized while they were partially submerged in the water, at the access ramp to the Miño River, in Lanhelas, in the municipality of Caminha. This point represents the physical border between Spain and Portugal through Galicia.

The discovery, made by the National Maritime Authority, took place after receiving an alert at 8:30 AM about "the presence of a vehicle that was causing environmental violations by being inside a partially submerged semi-trailer," according to the aforementioned Maritime Police.

At that moment, the Local Maritime Police Command of Caminha was immediately activated, as well as the Regional Criminal Investigation Unit (URIC) of the Maritime Police and the Evidence Collection and Judicial Identification Service. Also mobilized were personnel from the Republican National Guard (GNR), the Judicial Police, and the Volunteer Firefighters of Caminha.

Upon arriving at the scene, it was verified that the truck, with Spanish license plates, was partially submerged in the water. The Maritime Police are working on-site to preserve evidence and proceed with the removal of the vehicle using a crane.

The Local Maritime Police Command of Caminha is in charge of managing the incident. Everything seems to indicate that the drug traffickers made a miscalculation when attempting to launch the vessel at the aforementioned ramp leading to the Miño River, likely related to the tides. As a result, they lost a boat equipped with three high-power engines and specifically designed for the purpose for which it was built: drug trafficking.
