Una significativa operación conjunta de las autoridades mexicanas ha permitido asestar un contundente golpe a la capacidad financiera y de blanqueo de una de las organizaciones criminales recientemente catalogadas como narcoterroristas por Estados Unidos: el Cártel del Noreste.
Dicha operación es el resultado de labores de inteligencia e investigación llevadas a cabo por la Secretaría de Marina y la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública de México, que, en colaboración con la Fiscalía, lograron localizar y determinar el lugar donde se encontraba un considerable patrimonio en forma de automóviles de lujo pertenecientes a una persona vinculada con el cártel.
En este contexto, el equipo conjunto llevó a cabo cuatro órdenes de registro en la localidad de Mérida, en el estado de Yucatán, muy cercana a la turística ciudad de Cancún, donde fue arrestado Justo Aurelio Rivera, quien ha sido identificado como operador logístico y financiero del mencionado grupo delictivo.
Durante la operación, se confiscaron 15 automóviles de alta gama, incluyendo marcas como Porsche y Lamborghini, entre otras, así como diversos bienes de notable valor.
«A través de acciones coordinadas continuamos debilitando las capacidades operativas y financieras de las organizaciones criminales, para avanzar en la construcción de la paz y la seguridad de las familias mexicanas», informaron las autoridades locales.

A significant joint operation by Mexican authorities has dealt a strong blow to the financial and money laundering capabilities of one of the criminal organizations recently classified as narcoterrorists by the United States: the Northeast Cartel.
This operation is the result of intelligence and investigative work carried out by the Secretariat of the Navy and the Secretariat of Public Security of Mexico, which, in collaboration with the Prosecutor's Office, managed to locate and determine the location of a considerable estate in the form of luxury cars belonging to a person linked to the cartel.
In this context, the joint team executed four search warrants in the town of Mérida, in the state of Yucatán, very close to the tourist city of Cancun, where Justo Aurelio Rivera was arrested, who has been identified as the logistical and financial operator of the aforementioned criminal group.
During the operation, 15 high-end cars were confiscated, including brands such as Porsche and Lamborghini, among others, as well as various assets of notable value.
"Through coordinated actions, we continue to weaken the operational and financial capabilities of criminal organizations, to advance in the construction of peace and security for Mexican families," local authorities reported.
