Efectivos del Servicio Fiscal y de Fronteras de la Guardia Civil lograron la detención de un narcotraficante tras varios días de investigaciones, quien había huido a pie luego de ser sorprendido en posesión de un considerable alijo de drogas en el aeropuerto de Murcia. Este individuo, que formaba parte de una de las tradicionales redes criminales que vinculan esa región de España con el Reino Unido para el tráfico de estupefacientes, consiguió escapar corriendo, aunque cometió un error de principiante al regresar al mismo lugar de los hechos cinco días después.

Los acontecimientos se desarrollaron cuando el sujeto intentaba abordar un vuelo con destino al Reino Unido, llevando consigo una maleta que, como se supo posteriormente, contenía estupefacientes, en particular, marihuana envasada al vacío y bellotas de hachís con un distintivo muy particular: imágenes que evocan a Pablo Escobar.

Los agentes, tras lo sucedido, decidieron inspeccionar su equipaje, en el que encontraron hasta 15 kilos de droga, el máximo permitido en una maleta facturada, como era el caso. Los narcotraficantes suelen intentar ocultar las sustancias en el equipaje de bodega, confiando en que este eluda los controles con facilidad, algo que generalmente ocurre, pero que no sucedió en esta ocasión.

Dentro de la maleta se hallaron más de cuatro kilos de marihuana envasada al vacío distribuidos en seis bolsas termoselladas, así como más de diez kilos de bellotas de hachís con logotipos de Pablo Escobar en otras cinco bolsas.

Ante este descubrimiento, los agentes iniciaron una investigación para localizar al fugitivo, utilizando los datos de identidad que poseían. La búsqueda se resolvió rápidamente, ya que el sospechoso intentó tomar un vuelo a Manchester a través del mismo aeropuerto cinco días después de su fuga, cubriendo su rostro con un gorro y habiendo adquirido su billete mediante un tercero. De este modo, fue detenido y presentado ante la autoridad judicial.

Members of the Fiscal and Border Service of the Civil Guard managed to arrest a drug trafficker after several days of investigations, who had fled on foot after being caught in possession of a considerable stash of drugs at the Murcia airport. This individual, who was part of one of the traditional criminal networks linking that region of Spain with the United Kingdom for drug trafficking, managed to escape by running, although he made a rookie mistake by returning to the same location five days later.

The events unfolded when the subject attempted to board a flight to the United Kingdom, carrying a suitcase that, as later revealed, contained drugs, specifically vacuum-sealed marijuana and hashish balls with a very particular emblem: images reminiscent of Pablo Escobar.

Following the incident, the agents decided to inspect his luggage, in which they found up to 15 kilos of drugs, the maximum allowed in a checked suitcase, as was the case here. Drug traffickers often try to hide substances in checked luggage, relying on it to evade controls easily, something that generally occurs, but did not happen this time.

Inside the suitcase, more than four kilos of vacuum-sealed marijuana were found distributed in six heat-sealed bags, as well as over ten kilos of hashish balls featuring Pablo Escobar logos in another five bags.

In light of this discovery, the agents initiated an investigation to locate the fugitive, using the identity data they had. The search was resolved quickly, as the suspect attempted to take a flight to Manchester through the same airport five days after his escape, covering his face with a hat and having purchased his ticket through a third party. Thus, he was arrested and presented before the judicial authority.
