Fue uno de los trabajadores del edificio en el mencionado barrio madrileño quien advirtió que en el descansillo entre plantas había varias bolsas de considerable peso, siendo una de ellas visible con un desgarro que permitía observar el contenido en su interior. Sin dudarlo, contactó a la Policía.
En cuestión de minutos, agentes de la Policía Municipal llegaron al lugar y se hicieron cargo de las mochilas deportivas y las maletas que contenían la sustancia ilícita. De manera simultánea, informaron a la Jefatura Superior de Policía de Madrid, cuyos oficiales asumieron la investigación del caso.
Durante ese transcurso de tiempo, los agentes mostraron sospechas sobre un vehículo Volkswagen Golf blanco que realizó maniobras evasivas en la zona en un par de ocasiones, aunque no lograron interceptarlo, presuntamente relacionado con el suceso.
Los hechos sugieren un escenario en el que los narcotraficantes pudieron haber cometido algún error mientras trasladaban la mercancía desde un piso que funcionaba como ‘guardería’ hacia el vehículo que utilizarían para su transporte. Perdieron un cargamento valorado en aproximadamente dos millones de euros en el mercado mayorista, cifra que se incrementa considerablemente una vez que la droga es distribuida en las calles.

During that time, the agents expressed suspicions about a white Volkswagen Golf that made evasive maneuvers in the area on a couple of occasions, although they were unable to intercept it, presumably related to the incident.
The facts suggest a scenario in which the drug traffickers may have made some mistake while transporting the merchandise from an apartment that functioned as a 'stash house' to the vehicle they would use for transport. They lost a shipment valued at approximately two million euros in the wholesale market, a figure that increases significantly once the drug is distributed on the streets.
