Agentes del Cuerpo Nacional de Policía pertenecientes a la Udyco de A Coruña han llevado a cabo una nueva operación contra el narcotráfico que, de acuerdo con los resultados obtenidos, ha sido altamente exitosa. Los mismos policías que llevaron a cabo una importante acción en colaboración con sus colegas de Pontevedra en enero han asestado otro golpe a una red de traficantes, en esta ocasión en la zona de Ferrol.
El operativo dio comienzo tras el seguimiento de un vehículo todoterreno que los especialistas de la Udyco tenían bajo un estricto control. En un determinado momento, el automóvil iba a ingresar en un taller de la ciudad de Narón, localizada en el norte de Galicia. Ante la clara sospecha de que transportaba algo ilegal, los agentes intervinieron para evitar que se ocultara en el interior del mencionado establecimiento.
No obstante, el hallazgo más significativo se produjo en el coche y, en particular, en la zona de la defensa, donde había un compartimento que funcionaba como un doble fondo. Tras proceder a su desmontaje, la Policía descubrió 255.000 euros en efectivo, lo que pone de manifiesto la capacidad operativa de la red desmantelada. Con dicha cantidad se podrían adquirir aproximadamente 20 kilos, de acuerdo a los precios de mercado actuales.
Frente a las evidencias recabadas, los agentes pusieron a disposición judicial a los tres detenidos -el conductor del vehículo y dos individuos que se encontraban en el taller-. De estos, dos fueron ingresados en prisión.

Agents of the National Police Corps belonging to the Udyco of A Coruña have carried out a new operation against drug trafficking that, according to the results obtained, has been highly successful. The same police officers who conducted a significant action in collaboration with their colleagues from Pontevedra in January have dealt another blow to a trafficking network, this time in the Ferrol area.
The operation began after monitoring an all-terrain vehicle that Udyco specialists had under strict surveillance. At a certain moment, the car was about to enter a workshop in the city of Narón, located in northern Galicia. Given the clear suspicion that it was transporting something illegal, the agents intervened to prevent it from being hidden inside the aforementioned establishment.
However, the most significant discovery occurred in the car, specifically in the defense area, where there was a compartment functioning as a false bottom. After proceeding with its disassembly, the Police discovered 255,000 euros in cash, highlighting the operational capacity of the dismantled network. With this amount, approximately 20 kilos could be purchased, according to current market prices.
In light of the evidence gathered, the agents brought the three detainees - the driver of the vehicle and two individuals who were in the workshop - before the judicial authorities. Of these, two were remanded in custody.
