Contenido completo: El Algarve en Portugal se ha establecido como una de las rutas alternativas más frecuentemente empleadas por los narcotraficantes provenientes de España y Marruecos para la introducción de sus cargamentos de estupefacientes, incluyendo tanto hachís como cocaína. Este fenómeno ha sido evidenciado en numerosas ocasiones recientes, y ha vuelto a manifestarse en las últimas horas.

De este modo, la Unidad de Control Costero y de Fronteras (UCCF), a través del Destacamento de Control Costero de Olhão, llevó a cabo la incautación de aproximadamente cuatro toneladas de hachís y de tres embarcaciones en la ría Formosa, además de identificar a tres individuos con edades comprendidas entre los 22 y 46 años en el municipio de Faro.

Durante las labores de patrullaje y vigilancia marítima, las fuerzas armadas detectaron movimientos sospechosos al sur de la conocida Ilha Deserta. El Sistema Integrado de Vigilancia, Mando y Control de la Guardia Nacional Republicana (GNR) notificó a las fuerzas armadas sobre la actividad inusual en la mencionada isla.

Acto seguido, se adoptaron las medidas pertinentes para investigar la naturaleza de este comportamiento, activando tanto recursos marítimos como terrestres, lo que resultó en la incautación de aproximadamente cuatro toneladas de resina de cannabis; las tres embarcaciones y la detención de tres hombres, de entre 22 y 46 años, quienes también fueron identificados como presuntos traficantes de drogas.

La patrulla y vigilancia costera se realiza de manera continua, las 24 horas del día, como parte de la misión general de la Guardia Nacional Republicana y la misión específica de la Unidad de Control Costero y Fronterizo. Para llevar a cabo esta labor, los efectivos militares patrullan, supervisan e interceptan en el mar y en tierra a lo largo de toda la costa y las aguas territoriales del país.

La intensificación de la vigilancia costera ha jugado un papel crucial en la lucha contra la amenaza del narcotráfico, evitando en esta ocasión que aproximadamente cuatro toneladas de estupefacientes ingresaran al circuito ilegal de comercialización de este tipo de productos.

Paralelamente, en la misma zona de Portugal, las autoridades lusas, a través de la Policía Marítima, llevaron a cabo la intervención de dos furgonetas que transportaban combustible destinado a narcolanchas. Esta acción se realizó en el marco de las labores de control en áreas cercanas a la costa.

En total, en el interior de las dos furgonetas, se localizaron 311 garrafas con 7.700 litros de gasolina, en una operación que podría estar vinculada a la descarga frustrada de hachís en la Ilha Deserta.

Full Content: The Algarve in Portugal has established itself as one of the most frequently used alternative routes by drug traffickers from Spain and Morocco for the introduction of their drug shipments, including both hashish and cocaine. This phenomenon has been evidenced on numerous recent occasions and has manifested again in the last few hours.

Thus, the Coastal and Border Control Unit (UCCF), through the Coastal Control Detachment of Olhão, carried out the seizure of approximately four tons of hashish and three vessels in the Ria Formosa, in addition to identifying three individuals aged between 22 and 46 years in the municipality of Faro.

During maritime patrol and surveillance operations, the armed forces detected suspicious movements south of the well-known Ilha Deserta. The Integrated Surveillance, Command, and Control System of the National Republican Guard (GNR) notified the armed forces about the unusual activity on the mentioned island.

Subsequently, the necessary measures were taken to investigate the nature of this behavior, activating both maritime and land resources, which resulted in the seizure of approximately four tons of cannabis resin; the three vessels, and the arrest of three men, aged between 22 and 46 years, who were also identified as suspected drug traffickers.

Coastal patrol and surveillance are conducted continuously, 24 hours a day, as part of the overall mission of the National Republican Guard and the specific mission of the Coastal and Border Control Unit. To carry out this work, military personnel patrol, supervise, and intercept at sea and on land along the entire coast and territorial waters of the country.

The intensification of coastal surveillance has played a crucial role in the fight against the threat of drug trafficking, preventing on this occasion approximately four tons of drugs from entering the illegal marketing circuit of such products.

At the same time, in the same area of Portugal, Portuguese authorities, through the Maritime Police, carried out the intervention of two vans transporting fuel intended for drug boats. This action was carried out as part of control efforts in areas close to the coast.

In total, inside the two vans, 311 containers with 7,700 liters of gasoline were located, in an operation that could be linked to the frustrated unloading of hashish on Ilha Deserta.
