Contenido completo: A raíz de un informe del Centro de Operaciones de la Fuerza Naval del Caribe de la Armada de Colombia sobre una embarcación que transportaba clorhidrato de cocaína en la mencionada zona marítima, las autoridades colombianas, con el apoyo de la Fuerza Aeroespacial como unidad principal, llevaron a cabo una operación conjunta que se prolongó por más de 72 horas. Esta acción se inició poco después de haber localizado un laboratorio destinado a la fabricación de semisumergibles en el mismo Caribe, aunque dicho operativo tuvo lugar en La Guajira, en la región Oriental.

La embarcación que fue objeto de la búsqueda y persecución contaba con cuatro motores fueraborda, cada uno con una potencia de 300 caballos, y tenía la capacidad de transportar aproximadamente cinco toneladas de cocaína. Después de tres días de rastreo, fue encontrada abandonada en un estero del Golfo de Urabá, en el departamento de Antioquia. Esta lancha tenía la capacidad de alcanzar velocidades de hasta 45 nudos en alta mar, lo que le facilitaba eludir cualquier tipo de seguimiento. Sin embargo, para lograrlo, era necesario reducir peso, lo que implicaba arrojar la droga al mar. Según las suposiciones, esto es lo que los narcotraficantes hicieron en esta ocasión.

De inmediato, se envió una aeronave de la Fuerza Aeroespacial Colombiana para seguir la trayectoria de la embarcación, orientando a las Unidades de Reacción Rápida de las Estaciones de Guardacostas de Cartagena y Urabá para llevar a cabo el abordaje marítimo.

Al percatarse de la presencia de las autoridades, los tripulantes modificaron su rumbo en dirección a las costas colombianas con el objetivo de evadir la presión incesante de la fuerza pública e internarse en la zona costera. No obstante, las tropas del Batallón de Infantería de Marina que se encontraban desplegadas en tierra lograron frustrar esta maniobra.

Ante el acoso, los individuos optaron por huir hacia el Golfo de Urabá, donde finalmente abandonaron la embarcación, que medía 60 pies de eslora y aún estaba cargada con 30 garrafas de gasolina, en una zona de manglares. Sin embargo, la cocaína no fue localizada.

Posteriormente, las tropas del Ejército Nacional llevaron a cabo la inspección, judicialización e inutilización de la lancha en coordinación con las autoridades competentes. En lo que respecta al cargamento, se presume que fue arrojado al mar durante la persecución, motivo por el cual aeronaves del Comando Aéreo de Combate y buques de la Fuerza Naval del Caribe están realizando actualmente operaciones de búsqueda y registro.

Full content: Following a report from the Caribbean Naval Force Operations Center of the Colombian Navy regarding a vessel transporting hydrochloride cocaine in the aforementioned maritime area, Colombian authorities, with the support of the Aerospace Force as the main unit, carried out a joint operation that lasted more than 72 hours. This action began shortly after locating a laboratory intended for the manufacture of semi-submersibles in the same Caribbean, although that operation took place in La Guajira, in the Eastern region.

The vessel that was the subject of the search and pursuit was equipped with four outboard motors, each with a power of 300 horsepower, and had the capacity to transport approximately five tons of cocaine. After three days of tracking, it was found abandoned in a creek in the Gulf of Urabá, in the department of Antioquia. This boat was capable of reaching speeds of up to 45 knots at sea, which facilitated evading any type of surveillance. However, to achieve this, it was necessary to reduce weight, which meant throwing the drugs into the sea. According to assumptions, this is what the drug traffickers did on this occasion.

Immediately, an aircraft from the Colombian Aerospace Force was dispatched to follow the vessel's trajectory, directing the Rapid Reaction Units of the Coast Guard Stations of Cartagena and Urabá to carry out the maritime boarding.

Upon noticing the presence of the authorities, the crew altered their course towards the Colombian coasts in an attempt to evade the relentless pressure from law enforcement and to enter the coastal area. However, the troops from the Marine Infantry Battalion deployed on land managed to thwart this maneuver.

Faced with the pursuit, the individuals chose to flee towards the Gulf of Urabá, where they ultimately abandoned the vessel, which measured 60 feet in length and was still loaded with 30 jerrycans of gasoline, in a mangrove area. However, the cocaine was not located.

Subsequently, the National Army troops conducted the inspection, judicialization, and disabling of the boat in coordination with the competent authorities. Regarding the cargo, it is presumed to have been thrown into the sea during the pursuit, which is why aircraft from the Air Combat Command and vessels from the Caribbean Naval Force are currently conducting search and recovery operations.
