Personal de la Armada de Colombia llevó a cabo dos operaciones marítimas que resultaron clave para impedir el transporte de cocaína en la región del Pacífico, acciones que culminaron con la detención de cinco presuntos narcotraficantes y la incautación de dos lanchas que transportaban una cantidad de droga que supera considerablemente la tonelada. Este hallazgo se produjo en las proximidades del lugar donde recientemente se interceptó el narcosubmarino más grande registrado, de 35 metros de eslora, y no muy lejos del sitio de abordaje de otro semisumergible, en este último caso a cargo de agentes de la Guardia Costera de Estados Unidos.
De los operativos realizados, el más destacado se centró en la identificación de una lancha artesanal sospechosa en el Pacífico Centro, con tres tripulantes a bordo y varios costales que contenían sustancias ilícitas. La pronta intervención de los miembros de la Armada permitió asegurar la embarcación, a los individuos a bordo y los materiales, evitando así que esta carga prosiguiera por las rutas del narcotráfico.
Los tres detenidos son nacionales colombianos y responden a los nombres de Carlos M. A., Fernando C. G. y Daniel A. M., quienes fueron entregados a las autoridades pertinentes junto con la carga confiscada, para que enfrenten la ley por su presunta implicación en esta actividad delictiva.
Simultáneamente a esta operación, la misma Fuerza Naval del Pacífico detuvo una segunda embarcación que transportaba varios cientos de kilos adicionales de droga. Dos individuos fueron arrestados y puestos bajo custodia en la misma área.

Personnel from the Colombian Navy carried out two maritime operations that were key in preventing the transportation of cocaine in the Pacific region, actions that culminated in the arrest of five alleged drug traffickers and the seizure of two boats carrying a quantity of drugs that significantly exceeds one ton. This discovery occurred near the location where the largest recorded narco-submarine, measuring 35 meters in length, was recently intercepted, and not far from the boarding site of another semi-submersible, in this latter case under the charge of agents from the United States Coast Guard.
Of the operations carried out, the most notable focused on the identification of a suspicious artisanal boat in the Central Pacific, with three crew members on board and several sacks containing illicit substances. The prompt intervention of Navy personnel allowed for the securing of the vessel, the individuals on board, and the materials, thus preventing this cargo from continuing along drug trafficking routes.
The three detainees are Colombian nationals and are identified as Carlos M. A., Fernando C. G., and Daniel A. M., who were handed over to the relevant authorities along with the confiscated cargo to face the law for their alleged involvement in this criminal activity.
Simultaneously with this operation, the same Pacific Naval Force detained a second vessel that was transporting several hundred additional kilos of drugs. Two individuals were arrested and taken into custody in the same area.
