La Armada del Ecuador, en colaboración con la Policía Nacional, llevó a cabo una nueva operación marítima destinada a desmantelar las redes internacionales del narcotráfico en el Océano Pacífico. Esta intervención se realizó a 180 millas náuticas al Oeste de la ciudad portuaria de Manta, resultando en la captura de seis individuos.
El operativo, que se desarrolló en base a información de Inteligencia, incluyó la interceptación de tres narcolanchas. En dos de estas embarcaciones, se halló el estupefaciente en caletas sofisticadas, accesibles únicamente mediante el uso de sierras radiales, con un total de más de 1.800 kilos de cocaína.
Según estimaciones iniciales, el cargamento tendría un valor aproximado de 45 millones de dólares en el mercado estadounidense y de 63 millones de dólares en el mercado europeo, lo que representa un golpe significativo a las finanzas de las organizaciones criminales relacionadas con el narcotráfico.
Las seis personas detenidas han sido judicializadas de inmediato para su traslado a prisión por el delito de narcotráfico. Todas ellas son de nacionalidad ecuatoriana.
Las Fuerzas Armadas reafirman su compromiso con la seguridad y protección de los espacios marítimos bajo su jurisdicción, así como con la lucha decidida contra el crimen organizado transnacional, en beneficio de la paz y la tranquilidad de la ciudadanía ecuatoriana.

The Ecuadorian Navy, in collaboration with the National Police, carried out a new maritime operation aimed at dismantling international drug trafficking networks in the Pacific Ocean. This intervention took place 180 nautical miles west of the port city of Manta, resulting in the capture of six individuals.
The operation, which was based on intelligence information, included the interception of three drug boats. In two of these vessels, the narcotic was found in sophisticated hidden compartments, accessible only through the use of power saws, totaling more than 1,800 kilograms of cocaine.
According to initial estimates, the cargo would have an approximate value of 45 million dollars in the U.S. market and 63 million dollars in the European market, representing a significant blow to the finances of criminal organizations related to drug trafficking.
The six detained individuals have been immediately judicialized for their transfer to prison for the crime of drug trafficking. All of them are of Ecuadorian nationality.
The Armed Forces reaffirm their commitment to the security and protection of maritime spaces under their jurisdiction, as well as to the determined fight against transnational organized crime, for the benefit of peace and tranquility for the Ecuadorian citizenry.
