Uno de ellos contaba con una Orden Europea de Detención y Entrega emitida por las autoridades francesas, debido a su implicación en el secuestro y la tortura del fundador de una firma proveedora de billeteras de criptomonedas y de su esposa. Los perpetradores exigieron un rescate de 10 millones de euros por su liberación. Este tipo de secuestros se ha vuelto cada vez más frecuente, como han informado diversos medios especializados.

El secuestro se llevó a cabo en el instante en que la pareja dejaba a sus hijos en el colegio, siendo abordados por tres encapuchados que portaban armas de fuego. Como medida de presión, los secuestradores amputaron un dedo al padre. Finalmente, las víctimas fueron liberadas gracias a la intervención de las autoridades francesas.

Los investigadores de la Unidad Central Operativa de la Guardia Civil lograron localizar al fugitivo en la provincia de Valencia, donde residía junto a su pareja y un amigo. Los tres, que llevaban un estilo de vida bastante reservado, se alojaban en apartamentos alquilados a través de plataformas digitales para no dejar rastro, utilizando para ello una tarjeta bancaria perteneciente a una cuarta persona para sufragar todos los gastos.

Posteriormente, se trasladaron a Sevilla, donde residieron temporalmente con algunos familiares, luego se mudaron a Cádiz, para finalmente establecerse en Benalmádena (Málaga), donde fueron localizados y arrestados a finales de la semana pasada.

Para llevar a cabo su detención, traslado y custodia en los Juzgados de Fuengirola (Málaga), se implementó un amplio dispositivo policial, dado el nivel de peligrosidad de los detenidos y la posibilidad de que la organización criminal a la que pertenecían intentara facilitar su liberación.

Por otro lado, la Guardia Civil ha logrado localizar y detener en la localidad de Zafra (Badajoz) a un ciudadano brasileño requerido por un delito de agresión sexual a un menor de edad. Los hechos se produjeron entre los años 2024 y 2025 en la ciudad de Corumbá de Goiás (Brasil).

Las autoridades judiciales de Brasil decretaron el pasado mes de febrero la prisión preventiva del investigado y solicitaron su búsqueda internacional mediante la emisión de una Notificación Roja de Interpol.

De forma inmediata, se iniciaron las gestiones para localizar al fugitivo tras un intercambio de información llevado a cabo en el Centro de Cooperación Policial Internacional de la Policía Federal de Brasil, con sede en Río de Janeiro, donde España está representada por la Guardia Civil. Esta coordinación permitió determinar que el investigado se encontraba en la provincia de Badajoz, lo que facilitó su localización y posterior arresto.

Full content: The Civil Guard has carried out the location and arrest of two individuals wanted by the police and judicial authorities of their respective countries, in the towns of Benalmádena (Málaga) and Zafra (Badajoz). One of them had a European Arrest Warrant issued by the French authorities due to his involvement in the kidnapping and torture of the founder of a cryptocurrency wallet provider and his wife. The perpetrators demanded a ransom of 10 million euros for their release. Such kidnappings have become increasingly frequent, as reported by various specialized media sources.

The kidnapping occurred as the couple was dropping off their children at school, being approached by three hooded individuals carrying firearms. As a pressure tactic, the kidnappers amputated a finger from the father. Ultimately, the victims were released thanks to the intervention of the French authorities.

Investigators from the Central Operational Unit of the Civil Guard managed to locate the fugitive in the province of Valencia, where he was living with his partner and a friend. The three, who led a rather reserved lifestyle, were staying in apartments rented through digital platforms to leave no trace, using a bank card belonging to a fourth person to cover all expenses.

Subsequently, they moved to Seville, where they temporarily resided with some relatives, then moved to Cádiz, and finally settled in Benalmádena (Málaga), where they were located and arrested at the end of last week.

To carry out their arrest, transfer, and custody in the Courts of Fuengirola (Málaga), a large police operation was implemented, given the level of danger posed by the detainees and the possibility that the criminal organization to which they belonged might attempt to facilitate their release.

On the other hand, the Civil Guard has managed to locate and arrest a Brazilian citizen in the town of Zafra (Badajoz) wanted for a crime of sexual assault against a minor. The events occurred between the years 2024 and 2025 in the city of Corumbá de Goiás (Brazil).

The judicial authorities of Brazil decreed last February the preventive detention of the investigated individual and requested his international search through the issuance of an Interpol Red Notice.

Immediately, efforts were initiated to locate the fugitive following an exchange of information carried out at the International Police Cooperation Center of the Federal Police of Brazil, based in Rio de Janeiro, where Spain is represented by the Civil Guard. This coordination allowed for the determination that the investigated individual was in the province of Badajoz, which facilitated his location and subsequent arrest.
