El Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE), que forma parte del HSI de Estados Unidos, ha ganado notoriedad recientemente debido a sus acciones contra individuos extranjeros que buscan ser expulsados por mandato del Gobierno. Entre sus atribuciones se incluye también la lucha contra el tráfico de drogas, y como resultado de estas actividades, ha llevado a cabo una operación significativa en la parte occidental del país. Según fuentes judiciales, se han documentado en ocasiones anteriores redes delictivas similares a las observadas en la célebre serie Breaking Bad en diversas localidades de Europa y en Estados Unidos, pero el caso más reciente es el más destacado de todos ellos.
La red de narcotráfico que fue desmantelada, tal como informó el ICE, resultó en la confiscación de cuatro millones de dólares en metanfetamina y el descubrimiento de varios laboratorios de drogas clandestinos en California, situados en granjas rurales para evitar ser detectados.
En total, se desactivaron tres centros de producción y distribución localizados en California, todos ellos supuestamente operados por la red de tráfico en la parte norte del estado, lo que condujo a la detención de ocho individuos.
Durante la ejecución de los registros se incautaron 12 armas de fuego y más de mil cartuchos de munición, así como 2,700 libras de metanfetamina parcialmente procesada (aproximadamente 1,200 kilos), junto con 1,900 plantas de marihuana y más de 100 libras (cerca de 40 kilos) de marihuana ya procesada, la cual servía a los narcotraficantes para financiar los laboratorios.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which is part of the HSI of the United States, has gained notoriety recently due to its actions against foreign individuals seeking to be expelled by mandate of the Government. Among its responsibilities is the fight against drug trafficking, and as a result of these activities, it has carried out a significant operation in the western part of the country. According to judicial sources, criminal networks similar to those observed in the famous series Breaking Bad have been documented on previous occasions in various locations in Europe and the United States, but the most recent case is the most notable of all.
The drug trafficking network that was dismantled, as reported by ICE, resulted in the confiscation of four million dollars in methamphetamine and the discovery of several clandestine drug laboratories in California, located on rural farms to avoid detection.
In total, three production and distribution centers located in California were deactivated, all supposedly operated by the trafficking network in the northern part of the state, which led to the arrest of eight individuals.
During the execution of the searches, 12 firearms and more than a thousand rounds of ammunition were seized, along with 2,700 pounds of partially processed methamphetamine (approximately 1,200 kilos), along with 1,900 marijuana plants and more than 100 pounds (about 40 kilos) of processed marijuana, which served the traffickers to finance the laboratories.
