La Policía Nacional de Francia, en estrecha colaboración con la Gendarmería y la Aduana, lleva a cabo de manera habitual operaciones destinadas a combatir el narcotráfico. Los controles rutinarios en las carreteras permiten el hallazgo de sustancias ilegales y la aprehensión de individuos sospechosos. Esta actividad se ha intensificado en los meses recientes debido al aumento de la actividad de las grandes mafias en todo el territorio nacional, con sus principales bases establecidas en los alrededores de la capital y también en Marsella.
En la ciudad de Lorient, situada en Morbihan (en el extremo noroeste del país), se llevó a cabo el 15 de febrero la operación más significativa de los últimos días. En este lugar, la Policía logró interceptar un vehículo que ya se encontraba bajo vigilancia.
El seguimiento discreto de este vehículo llevó a la detención de sus ocupantes, así como a la arresto de otras seis personas relacionadas con una importante organización criminal que operaba en esa zona. En total, se confiscaron 7,4 kg de cocaína, tres pistolas y 5.000 euros en efectivo.
Ese mismo día, en Eure-et-Loir, al sur de París, la Policía procedió a la detención de un conductor que estaba al volante de un automóvil robado. En su posesión se encontraron 8 kilos de cocaína.
El último incidente reciente ocurrió en Nantes el 18 de febrero. Nuevamente, fue durante un control de vehículos. En este caso, los agentes se alertaron tras observar una maniobra peligrosa, lo que llevó a la Policía a descubrir 3,77 kilos de hachís.

The National Police of France, in close collaboration with the Gendarmerie and Customs, regularly conducts operations aimed at combating drug trafficking. Routine checks on the roads allow for the discovery of illegal substances and the apprehension of suspicious individuals. This activity has intensified in recent months due to the increase in the activity of major mafias throughout the national territory, with their main bases established in the vicinity of the capital and also in Marseille.
In the city of Lorient, located in Morbihan (in the northwest corner of the country), the most significant operation in recent days took place on February 15. At this location, the Police managed to intercept a vehicle that was already under surveillance.
The discreet tracking of this vehicle led to the arrest of its occupants, as well as the arrest of six other individuals linked to a major criminal organization operating in that area. In total, 7.4 kg of cocaine, three pistols, and 5,000 euros in cash were confiscated.
On the same day, in Eure-et-Loir, south of Paris, the Police proceeded to arrest a driver who was behind the wheel of a stolen car. In his possession, 8 kilograms of cocaine were found.
The latest recent incident occurred in Nantes on February 18. Again, it was during a vehicle check. In this case, the officers were alerted after observing a dangerous maneuver, which led the Police to discover 3.77 kilograms of hashish.
