**Título: Impactante intervención contra el tráfico de drogas y armas en el Amazonas**

Los lectores de Narcodiario son conscientes de que el área que rodea el río Solimões, en el corazón de la Amazonia, representa un punto estratégico para diversos flujos de estupefacientes que finalmente terminan en Brasil y, posteriormente, en Europa. En su momento se pudo constatar que la cocaína que llegó a Galicia en 2019 en el primer narcosubmarino interceptado en toda la historia fue cargada en esta región, que está bien conectada a través de la vía fluvial con las zonas limítrofes a los países productores, un espacio particularmente impactado por el crimen organizado a escala global.

En este contexto, la Policía Militar de Amazonas, mediante la Compañía de Operaciones Especiales (COE), llevó a cabo una acción en colaboración con la Fuerza Integrada de Combate al Crimen Organizado (Ficco), la Policía Civil de Amazonas, el Grupo Especial de Frontera de Mato Grosso y la Policía Nacional del Perú, logrando la incautación de 4,3 toneladas de estupefacientes, así como diez armas de fuego de alto calibre, tres mil cartuchos, cargadores, embarcaciones y motores en una operación efectuada en el río Solimões, en las cercanías de Manacapuru, a 68 kilómetros de Manaus, lo que representó un duro golpe para las organizaciones que operan en esta zona del mundo.

El río Solimões se ha convertido en una vía muy anhelada por el crimen organizado. "Con incautaciones como esta, debilitamos cada vez más esta actividad delictiva. La mayoría de los crímenes que se cometen en la capital están directamente relacionados con el narcotráfico, y nuestras fuerzas están preparadas y siempre un paso por delante de este elemento criminal", enfatizó el gobernador de la región, Wilson Lima.

Los grupos policiales actuaron basándose en la inteligencia recopilada previamente por las agencias que participaron en la investigación. Durante el monitoreo en la zona, dichas unidades obtuvieron información sobre embarcaciones que navegaban por la frontera y que transportaban armamento pesado y una cantidad considerable de narcóticos con destino inicial a la capital amazónica y áreas adyacentes.

Los equipos del COE se dirigieron a las cercanías del municipio de Manacapuru, donde lograron interceptar dos embarcaciones que coincidían con las descripciones recibidas. Al aproximarse, los policías militares fueron recibidos a disparos, lo que provocó un intercambio de fuego con los sospechosos, quienes abandonaron las embarcaciones y huyeron del lugar.

El comandante general de la Policía Militar de Amazonas, coronel Klinger Paiva, subrayó que la incautación de las armas fue una de las más significativas realizadas hasta la fecha y que estaban siendo utilizadas por delincuentes para proteger el cargamento de droga, resaltando el éxito de la operación.

"Todas estas armas eran utilizadas para escoltar este narcótico que se encontraba cerca de Manacapuru. Quiero resaltar la valentía de nuestros policías, que se enfrentan y continúan enfrentándose al crimen organizado diariamente. Este es otro éxito que evidencia la colaboración entre la Policía Militar y la Policía Civil", declaró el comandante en jefe de la corporación.

El Subsecretario Ejecutivo de Operaciones de la Secretaría de Seguridad Pública del Estado de Amazonas, Coronel Gomes Ribeiro, destacó la labor conjunta de las Fuerzas de Seguridad y su firme y comprometida lucha contra el narcotráfico. También enfatizó que esta colaboración estratégica ha permitido que las Fuerzas de Seguridad hayan superado, en los primeros 45 días de 2026, las incautaciones realizadas en el primer bimestre de 2025.

"Estamos aquí para elogiar el trabajo conjunto de las Fuerzas de Seguridad, que una vez más ha logrado un resultado sobresaliente, otro golpe de gran envergadura a la delincuencia. Es importante destacar que a principios de este año, apenas habíamos alcanzado los dos primeros meses, y ya hemos superado la cantidad de drogas incautadas en 2025. Hoy tenemos 8 toneladas incautadas”.

En total, en estas dos embarcaciones se intervinieron 3,9 toneladas de marihuana de tipo skunk (que posee un mayor poder psicoactivo que la marihuana tradicional); 426 kilogramos de clorhidrato de cocaína; diez armas de fuego, que incluyen dos fusiles AK-47; dos fusiles M15, un fusil T4, dos subametralladoras M60, un fusil Para-FAL y dos fusiles de calibre .50; más de 3.000 cartuchos de munición para AK-47 y munición de calibres 5,56, 7,62 y .50; 51 cargadores; las dos lanchas rápidas; cuatro motores; dos antenas Starlink y dos teléfonos móviles.

Se estima que las incautaciones ocasionaron pérdidas al crimen organizado que superan los 114 millones de reales (cerca de 20 millones de euros), una cantidad que se incrementa si la droga logra alcanzar otros mercados internacionales.

De acuerdo con el jefe de la Policía de Amazonas, Bruno Fraga, el esfuerzo continuo en la lucha contra el tráfico y narcotráfico ha generado resultados significativos en el ámbito de la Seguridad Pública.

“Estamos aquí para reafirmar nuestro compromiso con la población de Amazonas. Hoy podemos trabajar de manera integrada, compartiendo información, y esto está generando resultados exponenciales. Más que simplemente realizar incautaciones, con este trabajo estamos salvando la vida de niños y jóvenes que sin duda habrían caído en la adicción a las drogas. Esta labor demuestra que Amazonas es un referente no solo en Brasil, sino a nivel internacional", enfatizó el Jefe de Policía de Amazonas.

Todo el material incautado fue enviado a la sede de la Policía Federal de Amazonas, ubicada en el barrio Dom Pedro, en la zona centro-oeste de Manaus.

Readers of Narcodiario are aware that the area surrounding the Solimões River, in the heart of the Amazon, represents a strategic point for various flows of narcotics that ultimately end up in Brazil and subsequently in Europe. It was previously confirmed that the cocaine that arrived in Galicia in 2019 on the first narcosubmarine intercepted in history was loaded in this region, which is well connected via waterways to the border areas of producing countries, a space particularly impacted by organized crime on a global scale.

In this context, the Military Police of Amazonas, through the Special Operations Company (COE), carried out an action in collaboration with the Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime (Ficco), the Civil Police of Amazonas, the Special Border Group of Mato Grosso, and the National Police of Peru, achieving the seizure of 4.3 tons of narcotics, as well as ten high-caliber firearms, three thousand cartridges, magazines, boats, and engines in an operation conducted on the Solimões River, near Manacapuru, 68 kilometers from Manaus, which represented a severe blow to the organizations operating in this part of the world.

The Solimões River has become a highly sought-after route for organized crime. "With seizures like this, we increasingly weaken this criminal activity. Most of the crimes committed in the capital are directly related to drug trafficking, and our forces are prepared and always one step ahead of this criminal element," emphasized the governor of the region, Wilson Lima.

The police groups acted based on intelligence previously gathered by the agencies involved in the investigation. During monitoring in the area, these units obtained information about boats navigating the border that were transporting heavy weaponry and a considerable amount of narcotics destined initially for the Amazonian capital and adjacent areas.

The COE teams headed to the vicinity of the municipality of Manacapuru, where they managed to intercept two boats matching the descriptions received. Upon approaching, the military police were met with gunfire, leading to an exchange of fire with the suspects, who abandoned the boats and fled the scene.

The general commander of the Military Police of Amazonas, Colonel Klinger Paiva, emphasized that the seizure of the weapons was one of the most significant carried out to date and that they were being used by criminals to protect the drug shipment, highlighting the success of the operation.

"All these weapons were used to escort this narcotic that was near Manacapuru. I want to highlight the bravery of our police officers, who face and continue to face organized crime daily. This is another success that demonstrates the collaboration between the Military Police and the Civil Police," declared the chief commander of the corporation.

The Executive Undersecretary of Operations of the Amazonas State Public Security Secretariat, Colonel Gomes Ribeiro, highlighted the joint work of the Security Forces and their firm and committed fight against drug trafficking. He also emphasized that this strategic collaboration has allowed the Security Forces to surpass, in the first 45 days of 2026, the seizures made in the first two months of 2025.

"We are here to praise the joint work of the Security Forces, which has once again achieved an outstanding result, another significant blow to crime. It is estimated that the seizures caused losses to organized crime exceeding 114 million reais (around 20 million euros), an amount that increases if the drugs manage to reach other international markets.

According to the head of the Amazonas Police, Bruno Fraga, the ongoing effort in the fight against trafficking and drug trafficking has generated significant results in the field of Public Security.

All the seized material was sent to the headquarters of the Federal Police of Amazonas, located in the Dom Pedro neighborhood, in the central-western area of Manaus.
